2023 Hall of Fame Induction

The Hall of Fame committee and the Newark High School Sports Boosters would like to congratulate the 2023 Newark Sports Hall of Fame inductees:

The 2017 Girls Volleyball Team
On Sunday, January 22nd, the 2017 Girls Volleyball Team was inducted into the Newark High School Sports Hall of Fame.

The 2017 Girls Volleyball Team finished with an overall record of 34-5, 8-0 in the Little Ten Conference, and won the conference tournament. Led by head coach Tonya Grayson, the Norsemen finished in 4th place at the IHSA 1A state tournament, the first for a Newark volleyball team. Team members include: Coaches: Tonya Grayson - Head Coach, PJ McKinney - Asst. Coach, Sam Anderson - Asst. Coach. Players: Riane Tomsa, Cheyane Copeland Batt, Mikayla Williams, Alyssa Gittins, Evelyn Martin, Olivia Nelson, Morgan Richards, Rachel Testin, Mattie Chapman Patrick, Meggie Scott, Naomi Sweeney, Madi Malone. Extras for postseason: Kenna Borton, Cassidy Adams. Manager: Marissa Williams.



The 2016-2017 Boys Basketball Team
The seventeenth annual Newark High School Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 between the junior varsity and varsity basketball games.

Led by Coaches Rick Tollefson and Rob Scott, the Norsemen included Dylan Patrick, Will Clausel, Corey Davidson, Bretty Myre, Cameron Myre, Connor Swanson, Ryan Rayburn, Jacob Slivka, Steve Young, Steve McGrath, Beau Brown, and Caleb Dierzen. Congratulations to the 4th in State team in 2017 for becoming Hall of Famers at Newark High School.
